Raychem RPG Limited’s
high current rectifiers are used in number of
applications in various industries like cement,
steel, automobile, oil, paper, cement etc. Some
of the processes deploying these rectifiers are
as follows:
Electroplating :
The automobile, white goods and metal processing
industries are the largest applicants for these
rectifiers with voltage ranging between 8V to
48V and current ranging upto 15kA.
Electrowinning :
The industry deploys high power DC for
metal extraction of zinc, copper, cobalt or gold
from respective ashes. The voltage ranges from
150V to 400V and current demand ranges from 10A
to 40kA.
Electrodip :
The white goods and the automobile industry uses
high power DC supply for primer painting application.
These are 400V DC voltage application with current
ratings upto 2kA or as per customers requirement.
Railways :
The Railways use rectifiers for powering traction
motors in locomotives. These units power the Electrical
Multiple Units (Local trains) and Diesel Multiple
units (seen in the push - pull configuration).
These are either drawn from single phase or three
phase power supplies. They are upto 3kA ratings. |
