The Jaipur Vidhut Vitran Nigam Ltd, Jaipur has adopted this design and made it mandatory to install with every distribution Transformer for Protection.

The Cost of composite unit is almost 2/3rd than the present cost of G.O. D.O. and L.A. So there is saving of 1/3rd cost also.

By adopting this unit, the connections of all equipments are no longer required which results in less resistance and reduces chances for fault due to lose connections at clamps and the special Heavy Duty designed Lightning Arrester of Distribution Class; 12kV acts in the S.F. Unit as Insulator as well as LA and reduce the chances of system breakdown being nearer to transformer.
