VPI Drive Control Transformers

Medium voltage drives are used in various process industries like Metals, Cement, Mining, Oil & Gas, etc. for efficient operation, optimal energy consumption and thereby reduced carbon footprint.

Raychem RPG has pioneered the technology in design and manufacturing of multi-secondary drive control VPI (Vacuum Pressure Impregnated) transformers for over a decade.

These converter duty transformers are an integral part of MV VFD drives having special features like,

• Multi-secondaries up to (but not limited to) 27 secondaries, suitable for 12 to 54 Pulse operation.
• Designed in compliance with IEC 61378, suitable for extreme harmonic loading.
• Specific insulation co-ordination to accommodate switching requirements from diodes & IGBTs.
• Insulation Class up to R (220°C).
• Customized technology to suit customer specific needs according to different drive topologies.
• Reliable operation by considering various installations and geographical conditions.
